Looking back ain't bad
I get on the subway to get from point A to point B while I watch people, imagining what their stories are like.
I stroll the streets of NY to get myself lunch on my break. I'll most likely muscle through the long lines at Chipotle.
I rush home, avoiding the stressed crowd, trying my very best to get home sooner. I always can't wait to see my man's face.
I sit in silence in my living room to rest after a day's work, everyday.
I lay in our bed, with the lights off, but can't sleep right away. My mind is always racing.
....These are the moments when I tend to look back at my past.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as you don't try to relive it.
I like to review the things I overcame, the things I will never do again.
There's a part of it that liberates me, liberates me from the anger I once held.
It makes me feel proud of the changes I have made for the better.
